Lineman in Training: Delisio Aims High
Parker, PA, April 29, 2009 – Lexan DeLisio, an Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School senior, recently spent a day with Central Electric Cooperative (CEC) employees to discover what it takes to be a lineman.
Eric Terwilliger, CEC journeyman lineman says, “Lexan showed a real eagerness to learn about becoming a lineman. And he is well suited for the job: he loves the outdoors and isn’t afraid of hard work (or heights).”
Lexan learned about the tools of the trade, worked the bucket controls from inside a truck and climbed a pole with a full tool belt strapped to his waist. Lexan says, “It was a nice experience!”
Lexan has applied to a lineman school in Trenton, Ga .
