Parker, Pa., May 15, 2009 – Central Electric Cooperative, Inc. is proud to announce its 2009 Good Neighbor Scholarship winners. Each of the 15 cooperative members will receive a $1,000 scholarship to use at a post-secondary educational institution of their choice. Candidate selection was based on an essay illustrating their leadership and contributions to both community and school.

Scholarship winners are: Cassandra Ace of Knox, Pa. (University of Indiana); Nathan Barry of Butler, Pa. (Drexel University); Nicole Boyles of Rimersburg, Pa. (Clarion University); Alaina Burns of Chicora, Pa. (University of Pittsburgh); Cassie Groner of Cranberry, Pa. (Gannon University); Jennifer Kahle of Franklin, Pa. (Duquesne University); Debra Matthews of Knox, Pa. (Clarion University); Adrienne Niederriter of Fryburg, Pa. (Duke University); Samantha Ryan of Karns City, Pa. (Gannon University); Dominic Sarachine of Harmony, Pa. (Penn State-Behrend); Angela Shaffer of Prospect, Pa. (Juniata University); Elaina Tomsey of Chicora, Pa. (Clarion University); Jessica Wheeler of Polk. Pa. (Ohio State University); Cody Williams of Chicora, Pa. (Slippery Rock University); not pictured – Jessica Olkowski of East Brady, Pa.
