Rebate Programs

The 2019 rebate program is closed as of Sept. 1, 2019.

Funding for this program is limited each year. Due to an excellent response from our members, we have depleted our funding at this time. Any applications received after Sept. 1, 2019 will be held and processed at the start of the new year. Members that purchase qualifying appliances and heat pumps from Sept. 1 - Dec. 31 should submit when the 2020 program begins.

Central Electric Cooperative (CEC) offers rebates for Energy Star rated appliances and heat pumps. Purchasing Energy Star products insures that our members are making the most energy efficient and environmentally beneficial selections. Rebate funds are available from energy credits earned by our power supplier’s renewable generation assets. Program details and rebate applications can be found below.

2020 rebate applications will be available Jan. 1, 2020.

Appliance Rebates

Rebates are available for Energy Star certified appliances. Reducing the amount of energy used in your home is easier than ever when you install energy efficient products. That’s why CEC is pleased to offer an Appliance Rebate Program. A member can apply for a rebate by submitting the application and a copy of the sales receipt for an Energy Star certified, qualifying appliance to CEC. Members are limited to one rebate per appliance type per year and a total of $200 per rebates each calendar year.

To verify your new appliance qualifies, visit the Energy Star website and use their Product Finder tool.

Heat Pump Rebates

Rebates are also available for energy-efficient heat pumps. CEC members can receive a rebate for installing a qualifying air source, ductless mini-split, or geothermal heat pump system. Members must be able to supply an AHRI number, AHRI Certificate of Product Rating, and copy of dated sale receipt or invoice with the completed application. The AHRI number and Certificate of Product Rating can be supplied by an installer.

To search for Energy Star certified systems visit the Energy Star website's Heating & Cooling page.

To see if your new air source or ductless mini-split heat pump qualifies, search by the AHRI Certified Reference Number or model number on the AHRI Certification Directory. Geothermal heat pumps must be present on the Energy Star website to qualify and can be located by model number on the Geothermal Heat Pump page of their website.

Rebate applications with required documents can be submitted by mail or emailed to
