High winds beginning Friday afternoon have caused wide spread outages throughout CEC’s service territory. 

Wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour caused a peak outage count of 12,000. This count included six power supply outages.

At the time of publication, CEC has under 4,000 outages that includes a power supply outage. 

The state of Pennsylvania has over 250,000 outages, heavily concentrated in Western Pennsylvania. 

Crews worked throughout the night and many more joined at the break of day. PREA has also sent a mutual aid crew and is working to send additional crews.
